12月22日 Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Jolly Atheism HullaballooTomorrow, I depart for Michigan to celebrate the holidays as well as my Grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary. Before I depart, I want to wish all of my friends and family Happy Holidays!
This means, Merry Christmas to you and you and you and you....Happy Hanukkah to you and you...Happy Kwanza to you and you...ummmm...Happy Tree Day to you...Happy "Day off work" for most...and whatever else.
The holiday season means a lot to many people. Also, to those people, it means many different things. Quit getting bent out of shape over who said Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays. Stop worrying about the Christmas trees in the airport. Quit trying to force your Manger scene into public places. Let's just enjoy the holiday together. Regardless of what you believe, this is supposed to be a happy time. It's supposed to be a time of Love and Life and Caring.
Per my faith, I wish you a Merry Christmas. You may respond to me however you please and I will cherish your wishes.
God Bless you all! 12月5日 Howdy, Big BrotherSo...I received notification today from a source embedded deep within the government. I mean...this person is like a cross between James Bond and Monica Lewinski.
Anyway, it appears that Big Brother reads my blog. Big Brother being the Government. I think the letters from Cole triggered some search engine or something.
This means I should probably watch what I say from here on out (Rumsfeld has a squished face). I wouldn't want people to think I have inappropriate things to say (The Bush twins are hot). Also, I don't want people to think I don't support the President (McCain would have been soooo much better).
But, seriously, folks...if there are government or military officialls out there reading my blog, you should comment. I'm starting to get lonely. Mel Gibson and ApocalyptoI am planning to go see Apocalypto this weekend? Why? Because I think Mel Gibson is a fantastic director. Braveheart and The Passion were beautiful films, dispite their violence.
But, what about his drunken tirade? What about it? I am willing to forgive him. He was drunk. He spit some nasty comments out. Have you ever been drunk and said stupid things? Problem for him is he's a celebrity. I don't look over it...but I can forgive it. Besides...I stand by Avenue Q's assertation that "Everyone's a little bit racist...sometimes." Mel had too much to drink and acted like an idiot.
Now...the real point of this post. Early reviews are indicating that Apocalyto is great. Comments are being made wondering if the Academy can overlook his drunken rant and possibly consider giving him an Oscar. To those that have sworn never to work with him and think the idea of rewarding him with an Oscar is obscene, I have one question: If the Academy can give an Oscar to a child rapist, why can't they give one to a drunk?
Cheers! |
